There are three stages to completing a lanyard: starting a stitch, continuing the stitch and ending the stitch. Starting. Step 1. Cut two pieces of different-colored lanyard lace the same length. Bring the ends of both pieces of lanyard together, to form four strands. Run your fingers down the strands until you hit where the strands fold.
