Bungie has said that they're going to make it so that once you have the first exotic glaive, you can buy the pattern from the investigation board for the other classes. I don't know if the change is in the game now or if you have to complete the campaign on those classes, though.The exotic glaives all have the old coldheart issue of their main perk being that they are a glaive. Moving the unique perk of each glaive into the intrinsic slot would open up a slot for a perk.
