Bridge mode on xfinity router
Hello, for the past week I have tried just about everything out there to get port forwarding working. So far, I've tried: -Setting the port forward (obviously) -Following the guide on the Xfinity page. -Scouring the internet for answers. -Resetting the router. -Factory resetting the router. -Ensuring there is no static IP.Oct 22, 2020 · The MT7711 is a bridge/router, but I can only put it in bridge mode (I have my own router) when the coax cable is not connected. I'm getting the sense that Xfinity is forcing the MT7711 into routing ... 1st disable that pesky Xfinity public wifi. 2nd bridge that sucker. ( You can't manage the modem while on bridge mode). 3rd hook a decent router (Cisco ASA, Ubiquity edge router, Mikrotik) to name a few. I use pfSense, not in the previous list of good options.
