Jun 11, 2013 · IOD Fuse Draw. Hello everyone. I have a 1999 Dodge 2500 5.9 diesel. I am having a weird problem. Everything was working fine one day and then: I parked my truck at work in the morning at 8:00AM. Worked till 5:00PM, went to start truck and bam..its dead. So, I jumped it, drove it to the repair shop and had the batteries tested, which were fine. The IOD fuse is in place to make sure your batteries aren't drawn down by things left on. From what I understand anyway is separates dome lights, radio, key fob, google for the rest.
